I saw “The Martian” the other week, and got inspired by the cosmos. I googled some images, and found stunning colours in cosmos pictures.
I took my watercolours and started painting my own cosmos-inspired planets, letting colours flow into each other. I used two different colour palettes.
To get this effect, you will have to work wet-on-wet and unite the “planets” with one another in one point. The colour will spread on the wet paper, and mix with the colour of the neighbouring circle. The result: interesting patterns on the planets, and beautifully interstellar colours.
So easy to do and so fun to watch the colour mix under your eyes.
Until next time, dare to play with your ideas!
